Serpa Plumbing Ltd

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 13, 2026

Serpa Plumbing Ltd ("Serpa Plumbing", "we", "us") is a plumbing contractor based in London, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

We handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and we follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for commercial messages.

1. Who to contact

Steve Serpa is responsible for personal information at Serpa Plumbing. To ask a question, request your information, or make a complaint:

2. What we collect

When you call or email us. Your name, phone number, email address, service address, and whatever you tell us about the job. We keep notes about the work so we can quote it, do it, and honour the warranty afterward.

When you visit this website. Our website host and security provider record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you open, and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse.

What we do not do. As of the date above, this website runs no analytics or advertising trackers - no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta/Facebook pixel, and no advertising conversion tags. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, ever.

Payment information. We do not collect or store credit card numbers through this website. Payment for completed work is arranged directly with you.

3. Why we collect it

  • To answer your enquiry and give you a flat-rate quote.
  • To schedule, carry out, and invoice the work.
  • To honour the warranty and handle any follow-up on a job we did.
  • To keep records we are required to keep as a licensed contractor.
  • To keep this website secure and working.

We use your information for the reason you gave it to us. If we ever want to use it for something else, we will ask you first.

4. Consent

When you call or email us about a job, you are consenting to us using your information to respond and to carry out that work. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.

Commercial messages. We do not send marketing email or texts without your express consent. If we ever start, every message will identify us clearly and include a working unsubscribe, as CASL requires. Replying to your enquiry is not marketing - that is us answering the question you asked.

5. Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the business and this website. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) - hosts this website and our customer records.
  • Cloudflare - delivers and protects the website, and obscures email addresses on our pages from spam harvesters.
  • Google Maps - powers the map embedded on our site. If a map loads, Google receives technical information about that request under its own privacy policy.

6. Where your information is stored

Our website host and customer-records provider store data on servers located outside Canada, primarily in the United States. While information is held in another country it may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities of that country. We tell you this because PIPEDA expects us to be straightforward about it.

7. How long we keep it

We keep job records for as long as we may need them to support the warranty, answer questions about work we did, and meet tax and business record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or render it anonymous.

8. Keeping it safe

We limit who can see customer information to the people who need it to do the job. Our website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and our records provider protects accounts with passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to how sensitive the information is.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we have used it.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete information we no longer need to keep.
  • Stop contacting you.

Contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request. We may need to verify who you are before releasing information.

10. Cookies

Our website platform sets a small number of cookies that are necessary for pages to load and function correctly, and our security provider sets cookies to tell real visitors from automated traffic. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.

11. Children

This website is meant for adults arranging plumbing work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.

13. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.
